Welcome to Gress (referred to as "the app"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our app and services. By creating an account and using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Gress is a travel and challenge app that allows users to discover places, participate in location-based challenges, and track progress. The app stores place locations submitted by users and uses temporary device location during challenges to calculate distance and proximity to places.

2. User Accounts and Responsibilities

To access certain features, you may register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account, if you choose to provide name and email.
• Maintain the security of your account password.
• Be solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• Use the app in compliance with all applicable laws.

3. Location Use Disclaimer

The app may access your device location during challenges to calculate distance and proximity to places. Your location is used only temporarily for this purpose and is not stored on our servers. The app only stores the locations of places submitted or created within challenges.

4. Use of Information and Data

Your use of the app is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using Gress, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy, including storage of place locations and optional use of your name/email.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the app to:

• Upload any content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or interfere with the app's performance.
• Use the app for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

6. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the app at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the app will immediately cease.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

The app is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free. Gress is not responsible for inaccuracies in user-submitted place data.

In no event shall Gress or its owners be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of changes by posting the updated Terms within the app or on our website. Your continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
